LYDIA’S CLASS

Lydia Carrell taught a class at the last group meeting.  I’m showing Marcie’s attempt at the card, which she made at home.  The background is covered in Tim Holtz Distress Ink”  Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon.  A spritz of water and a quick dab of a paper towel, then some additional Mermaid Lagoon over a Tim Holtz Stencil.  Add a bit more Mermaid Lagoon on the floral rubber stamp to give it just a bit more pop (Lydia also used a small “spatter” stamp to add color).  Stamp the flower twice.  The flower in the sample is by Studio 490.  Instead of coloring the flower with Distress Ink Marcie chose to color her flower with Copic Markers.  The bottom flower was taped to the card and the top flower petals were “stretched” a bit to give the flower some depth.  Great class.  Love the card.scan0001

CHANDA NELSON

A great card by Chanda.  She used the Stampington & Company image but this version has been stamped and embossed with black.  She really shows up against the glittery background.  The background is gorgeous, possibly done with Gelatos and a swipe of a Stella pen.  Fantastic card.  scan0001

MARCIE LOFGREN

Marcie took a different path for the wine challenge.  The image is by Stampington & Company and was stamped using white embossing powder.  She was then outlined with a black glaze pen.  A flower was added using Tim Holtz Mini Tattered Floral die.  So cute.008
