MARCIE LOFGREN

Marcie fell in love with this Andy Warhol image from Rick St. Dennis at I Brake for Stamps  (http://ibrakeforstamps.com).  They have great images, both rubber and digital.  Both Andy and Marcie grew up in Pittsburgh and both studied art at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University).  Marcie decided to try to stay true to Andy and color the image (with Copic Markers) as close to the Warhol style as possible.  Neat. scan0001

LIANE CEGLAR

The Stamperpalz met yesterday and had a wonderful class taught by Lydia Carrell.  She demonstraed four different techniques for backgrounds which were then made into cards.  Great class.  Fun was had by all as we tried our hand at duplicating Lydia’s techniques (with great typed instructions).  Hopefully we’ll see some of the backgrounds in future challenges.  This card was for the Use Newspaper as Material scan0001and Liane did a wonderful job with this elegant card.  Looking forward to the challenge for next month.

CHANDA NELSON

Chanda created this wonderful piece of paper art in a Dyan Reaveley class. Dyan taught the group how to use the Dylusion Sprays and stencils.  Everyone needs to take a class from the fabulous Dyan to fully understand her mastery of sprays.  She kept this class going for four solid hours and Chanda came home with a work of art.  dyan

POOR YORICK

Marcie found the Shakespeare image at The Octopode Factory.  She bought several images he was her first choice (did it have something to do with recently watching Shakespeare in Love).  He’s colored with Copic Markers.  The skull image is from Carmen’s Veranda.  Love it.scan0002
